have you guys ever actually gone to a live wrestling show? what was it like compared to watching it on tv?
I'm planning to go to fastlane later this year since its in my hometown and its going to be my first live wrestling event

Only to a local show. Had a good time but it went for 4 hours which was a bit much, everyone was burned out by the end of it. They did a MITB style match to start off with, the brief case was basically strung up on two speakers attached to the walls, one of them fell down halfway through the match so the briefcase was at eye level so they rushed the finish. This kind of shit happens in bingo halls, and TNA, I guess.

god plenty of high fives but had a dumb lumbering security guard always in the corner & in the way. wish those meat heads would get a clue and fuck off when wrestlers are greeting fans.

You can't hear the commentary so you have no idea whats happening or what the show is about so you just sing along to whoa sings to get something out of it.

Only to house shows. RAW, Smackdown, PPVS, etc never come here because we're too small, but I think I'd rather go to a house show than your typical tv taping anyways because those are mostly just talking.

Since you're going to WWE, be prepared for there to be a metric fuck ton of screaming elementary school aged kids. If you don't like being cramped, be aware of that when getting your tickets, but you're probably going to be cramped no matter what since its a ppv.

If its safe to do so, drink, because that makes things much more fun.

I've been to TNA, WWE, and AEW house shows and at the WWE ones, they were pretty good about letting the audience interact with the wrestlers. At the last one I was at, there was security there but they didn't do much and Cody Rhodes signed autographs at the rails for a good 30-45 minutes.

First show I ever went to was a RAW around 2010 or so. Got nosebleeds for dirt cheap as WWE was pushing their shows as a cheap night out for families. Heard a six year old say "FUCK YOU JOHN CENA", saw a massive hillbilly woman with an oxygen tank and her husband next to her smoking.

Been to a few RAWs and Smackdowns beside that. I haven't been in a few years but I was actually surprised how many attractive people I'd see at these shows. TV tapings are meant for the audience at home so sometimes stuff is missing for the live crowd. This is really autistic and naive of me but the first time I went to a show I thought you'd be able to hear the TV commentators over the sound system as that's such a part of the show. That wasn't the case. I did get front row tickets to a Smackdown once and my main takeaway was how huge some of these guys were in person (especially Sheamus). Went to Survivor Series...2013? 2014? The one where the Shield debuted. Did a house show once too and that was surprisingly fun. You get to see guys that haven't debuted on TV yet, or repackages.

Went to one NXT show in 2016 back when they were still on a roll. Unfortunately the crowd was the WORST crowd I've ever seen. Just a bunch of guys trying to get themselves over with annoying chants, horrendous BO on the guy next to me. Frank The Clown was there. Also sat close to the entrance ramp and I was shocked by how little NXT wrestlers were. I'm 5'7 and I was bigger than both guys in The Revival. I'm glad I got to see Nakamura before he completely gave up though.

Been to a couple shows for my local no name indie and to be honest those are probably the most fun shows.
