He was pretty boring in the ring but that didn't matter, he made up for it with big dumb scary guy charisma, a based hoss look, and legendary big dumb guy promos. Sid was BASED.

Amazing promo, gets unfairly shit on because Russo gave him dumb lines. Looks and moves like Frankenstein which is both good and bad. Probably should've made more money but was never really a draw and his real passion was for softball.
If you made the ideal pro wrestler in a lab he would at least look like him although you would prefer if he could move a bit better.

in the history of pro wrestling, this is at least in the Top 3 of Most Dimes Look of All Time. Right up there with Hollywood Hogan and Ric Flair. That's why I always get the nagging feeling that they could have done more with Sid.

Sid's an odd duck. The whole stabbing Arn, the whole losing a fight in a bar and then running off and returning with a squeegee and getting laughed out, the whole softball thing and not ever really deciding which to commit to. Bret said he was wound tight and the Owen would have had a field day with someone like Sid.

But fuck me, did the guy ever have screen presence. Bad guy or good guy, people were cheering for him. Sid was big in New York and just as big in Atlanta. He could just switch it on. You were convinced just by looking at him that he had a screw loose.

This mother fucker made people go completely insane for a powerbomb, he did the bare minimum and was one of if not the most popular guys on the roster every time he was wrestling
Though he will always be in dangerous Dan spiveys shadow, I love the skyscrapers matches against the road warriors
