It's not surprising. TK scapegoated the elite for a lot of the issues people had with early AEW. For example Omega got blamed for women not being booked enough, Brandi taking what little time they did have etc. It was pretty obvious it was TK controlling the amount of TV time different acts got, but people had heard Omega was in charge of the women so he got the heat.

I can imagine Omega being fed up with that sort of shit.

E-Gods don't want them. If we wanted to see flips in heatless matches with no story being told, we'd watch AEW. As Dynamite, Rampage and Collision's ratings demonstrate, almost no one wants to see that. They can do a year in NXT and if it turns out they're actually capable of telling a story, maybe they'll be ready for the main roster.
