You have AEW going full workrate and all in-ring action, which pleases their hardcore audience, but has nothing to do with mainstream appeal, or any connection to what's going on in the real world.
You have WWE catering to kids only with cartoonish stories and characters and one hot storyline that resonantes with the audience that already watches them them. Again, nothing on their shows resembles anything that's hot these days with the mainstream.
