Granted, at the time (and still) I didn'f follow AEW. All I knew was the fans all thought he should turn heel and do a Patrick Bateman-like character who still portrayed himself as a face. And that at times he was seemingly so out of touch that people thought he was purposely doing that on a meta level.
Anyway my thinking was this nigga JUST started a rival wrestling company to WWE and even smashed HHH's throne. How can he possibly be going back already? I couldn't believe the story at face value. But now after seeing a little bit about how AEW is run (the whole Phil thing) I understand. The Codester is WWE now.
