Once AEW gets their new TV deal sorted out, they definitely need to start getting some recruits and they need to start training people. It's one of the hallmarks of every major promotion.

Trainees can be had for cheap. If they work out, they make you a bunch of money, and even if they don't turn out great, you can still use them as jobbers or have them set up the ring. You no longer have to wait for the indies to produce people as you can train wrestlers to be exactly the way you want them. You can also grab a bunch of people in their early 20's who could realistically be making you money for a very long time.

You literally can't go wrong if you are a major company like AEW. Even if you lose a million or something, that's nothing for a company that is making $150 million on TV deals.

You literally cannot have a narrative of being a progressive company that respects workers' rights while having the "you gotta pay your dues" dynamic.

Anyone coming in that's good enough aesthetically, yet still green (Jade) will know they have leverage knowing that they can go to WWE. They can use that to bilk Tony for money while not actually having to do anything.

You literally cannot cultivate old pro wrestling culture while the marks are in the ring.

No, they need a developmental teritory with no cameras. They need to make talent wrestle 200 matches a year in front of a handful of people paying $5 to watch. Modernfags will go weeks without a single live booking. Let them figure out how to work and worj a crowd in real time.

AEW prides itself in not doing what WWE does, despite WWE being the most successful promotion in history. So no Performance Center. The co-founder of the PC was even in AEW and they ran him off.
