Considering the ages of both guys it was good for what it needed to be, but to consider it the greatest match of all time is just silly, both men had far better matches even the hell in a cell match they had together was 10x better

It's clearly the more revolutionary and inventive match. Same as the ladder match that Meltzer loved. But it's not the match that WWE TV has pounded these people over the head with since they were kids and there weren't really other options for comparison, I guess that's why they get so triggered and feel personally attacked, like their whole life is a life is a lie. Sad way to live

Personally, the Shawn vs Taker match at WM25 isn't the greatest of all time, it goes downhill after the dive spot because Taker nearly killed himself, and their match the following year is a lot better. Considering all the stupid matches he's given 5 stars to, both Shawn vs Taker matches should have been given a lot more if you even care about meme star ratings

This match is proof that a whole lot of people just parrot whatever the television tells them. WWE for some reason decided that this was the greatest wrestling match of all time, and now the drones parrot it as fact. I can probably name 5 matches from both guys that I think are better.

It was good.
Liked the cell "End of an Era" cell match against HHH with Shawn as the ref better. Simply because of the build up of it over the years between the 3 of them and the streak. If the streak ended that night, or if Taker retired then and there undefeated, it would have been the greatest of all time. But he didn't and it just became another set of Wrestlemania taker matches that fell off to the side after the one that actually mattetred. Losing to Brock.
