Apparently the plan wasn’t for Taker to drop the belt after just a week, says he’s never even thought to ask Vince what the fuck happened to make him take the belt off him after they showed Taker didn’t spike Hogan at all. In the end Taker just thought “oh fuck it whatever” and just stopped giving a shit about the belt. But he never got the chance to celebrate that first title win thanks to Hogan’s bullshit.
