People throw out names like Jake, who would work except Jake was a drunk mess. Jackyl was another one, but they got him off TV for trying to get himself over. I don't think they would've let him. Daniels is way too short and that felt like Russo making shit up.
They should've never gone with the Higher Power stuff or just had Bearer running it.
>>10763914This as well. Part of the problem was that Vince vs Austin kind of peaked by St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Once they had the match, it's not that people didn't want to see it, but the characters started getting crazier. In 97-98 are the best years because things are a lot more grounded. 99 went full crazy, and Vince was the one that suffered the most from it.
His plan(s) in 98 made sense and even when he had to get Kane and Taker on his side, it was a huge risk (and his leg got broken for it)
