I used to like him.
He was a good wrestler but had no charisma and couldn't talk. He had Heyman but even still you need that unteachable it factor. His dad had it but he didn't.

He wasn't allowed to use his dad's name, despite his dad's name being the only reason he was there.

He was never really seriously pushed and as >>10763504 said, few people really were put in positions to get over in the 2010's.

He also didn't have a ton of charisma or personality. That could have been covered up in various ways, but WWE didn't bother.

Then you establish that he can beat literally anyone on the roster, but it takes him two tries to do it, so he's constantly trying to get rematches with people.
