WOW what a surprise!

To be fair though at least they have some framework to build upon now. If the company happens to still be alive in 5 years they shouldn't give up on games. Just don't let wrestlers and marks involve themselves in production, which is pretty much the core of all AEW's issues.

As a former artfag the caw stuff in 2k is so much fun (tm), if it was stapled to a better wrestling game I probably wouldn't ever play anything else. I was surprised Yukes didn't steal from it since I'm sure they have the rights, they worked on the series for decades

Could they not have just made a very scaled down game aping No Mercy, with retro graphics and a similar CAW creator? It would take like a year at most to make, be dirt cheap and wrestling nerds would go crazy for it. It might even get some normie appeal because everyone played those N64 wrestling games.

Why not do something like that first instead of immediately dumping so much money into a quarter-assed attempt at a big-budget prestige title? Am I missing something?
