It would have been bad for his rep to go public, male rape sadly still isn't taken seriously, there was a short report in a local paper but the attackers were never caught.
Go back and watch early WCW, there is a noticeable shift in Nash's demeanour, he genuinely sounds and looks depressed a lot of the time, he's phoning in his matches etc. from what is likely the trauma of being assaulted. Nash has worked through his demons and jokes about it now, coping mechanism I guess.
There was a poster here called nwowolfpactv who was a huge Nash mark who took it really badly and started spamming shit about Eddie Guerrero and Bryan Danielson. Eventually drove him off the board.
