Brock simply wasn’t ready for the top belt at the time. Yeah he was an athletic freak but that’s not enough to be a main event player and the ratings and attendance cratered for it.
And THEN he left early largely because he already did everything you could do in a single year inadvertently fucking up Orton and making HIM champion too soon as well.
Brock should’ve been building himself in the midcard. Where Gunther is now is where Brock should’ve been then.
WrestleMania XX should’ve been his first WWE world title win at soonest, not his final match for the next several years.
