>>10793693I mean knowing him from czw, it’s not at all surprising the shit he does now and from where I’m standing is part of my respect for him. He’s always been like that and that’s always been his style. People acting like it’s anything recent is just because wwe kinda tamed him for a bit, but when he got out it was back to normal. Overall, my likes
>fast and loose aggressive style, yet somehow still safe. He may take nasty bumps but he doesn’t endanger others (or forces them too, they do it themselves if they decide to). >Does have legit technical wrestling skill. His brawler style doesn’t suit it so he doesn’t show it off alot, but yea he’s actually pretty decent when it comes to classic in ring work, technical holds and suplexes, and overall psychology of a wrestling match.>His promos are tied to his energy regarding things around him. In wwe they were lame cause it was scripted. In AEW it’s still just okay except for when shit is actually going down…then he cuts a passionate kino promo like brawl all aftermath that even made Cornette say it may be one of the best promos in the history of wrestling >By sticking to his roots, he feels like a natural evolution of one character, unlike someone like Jericho who’s always throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. This makes him feel like a protag who’s story we’ve been following for years. Seeing him now vs back then, he’s still so recognizable and yet he changed so much>A lot of it is all for the business and for the crowd. In real life he’s perfectly normal, maybe a bit of an introverted dork actually. But he has a smoking hot wife and it should be reminded that his in ring work is no reflection of him as a husband/father. The fact he has a normal life outside of wrestling should be an indicator that it really is all for the business…there’s nothing wrong with him, he carries guys like Brody(also from czw), Brisco, New Jack with him and keeps that style alive
