And by all accounts, Matt/Tony Khan are at loggerheads because Tony desperately wants Matt to be a huge fucking babyface guy in AEW and not a heel along with wanting Matt to cede his likeness rights and other shit that would mean an end to Matt's endless merch hustle he does with his pay pigs.
That said, Matt's got a good thing going on the indies, though it says something he won't work the Chikara circuit. A Matt Cardona/Avery Good feud would be killer and could actually give Matt an opponent who has actual street cred to shut Matt up on his constant claims of being "the king of the indies".
