why did the attitude era only have like 3 good ppvs total? did fans feel ripped off when they had to watch a bunch of bullshit and pay 70 dollars for it?

there was a lot of good ppvs. the attitude era was very brief
most of the ppvs were good. almost every ppv from 2000 was good.
wwe hasn't really had any good ppvs since the attitude era ended and that was a long time ago

i used to be curious as well at how did wrestling fans afford the ppvs, kids at school told me what they would do is basically their relatives would come over like its a party to watch wrestlemania or whatever and then they split the payment so like each adult pays only 5 bucks
