I just went to my first-ever Mexican Wrestling show at Triplemania last night. I can tell you, wrestling is much different in Mexico than in the US. I'm going to post some WEBMs from last night to show you what I mean.

Apparently, assigned seating on the floor doesn't matter at Mexican wrestling shows. Everyone was freely walking around and standing the entire time. This felt alien compared to AEW and WWE shows, where you are constantly asked to sit down and leave the aisle.

There was no such thing as a "typical" wrestling fan. It felt like the national sport last night. People from all walks of life were in attendance, including single women, groups of guys, families, and the elderly. The energy was unreal.

Kenny Omega's popularity in Mexico is off the charts. The cheers for him during the Vikingo match were absolutely deafening. When he lost cleanly, fans started pelting trash at Vikingo in the ring. Additionally, there were several AEW chants throughout the show. It's worth noting that some fans who had the opportunity to touch Kenny Omega were so overwhelmed with emotion that they started crying.

Depends on the state and the venue. More "serious" places like Arena México or Nueva Arena Ciudad de México won't let you do that kind of shit but an improvised arena on a baseball stadium or in a bull fighting ring in "San Bumfuck de los lugares" won't be as strict.
