The In-ring that does show up on tv is varied and is given notable time much to the point that it’s not uncommon for weekly shows to have various PPV quality matches throughout. The amount of time given to match participants often gives them time to flesh out a better match in the ring as well.
They also still have the best tag division on the planet and, until very recently, was pretty much the only western company to give such focus and revitalize the division as something significant and worthy of having Main spots.
For a weekly promotion, their general output of good to great matches are insane. So much so that I remember one of the bigger complaints with AEW especially early on being that they have TOO MANY PPV quality matches and they’d burn out quickly and should reduce the amount of wrestling and focus on “moments” instead.
It also helps that they can use decent talent from OTHER promotion as well and aren’t stuck in their own bubble.
The talent pool the company has access to, the time and focus matches are given, and the freedom given to much of the talent ultimately makes for a much better weekly in-ring experience.
