>>10911581>but how do stuff like the webm in the OP happen and whatnot? Who gets invited? How/how are these things promoted? These are normally pretty small communities where everyone knows each other. They'd advertise it on their local Facebook groups and it'd spread through word of mouth
>What's the pay like? That's a joke, right? The hotdog and a handshake thing isn't a meme
>How are matches 'booked'? They find out who can show up that day and probably talk over a few of the spots and go from there, unless it's some kind of big match with a lot going on or their company's title match, they might plan it a little more then but mostly it's both guys will get their shit in and then one of them loses
>Are these actually illegal and the police don't care? It's the court system that doesn't care. There's waivers and shit but most of them are half a page written up in Word that aren't worth the paper they're printed on so if there's ever a serious injury because some dickhead severed his artery after getting chokeslammed through a car windshield the judge might tell the promoter they're at least partly liable, but most of the time the judge will tell them all to fuck off and stop wasting his time and handle it in a smaller court or through arbitration
>Like I find the behind-the-scenes of these interesting but don't know where to read up or watch stuff on them. The other guy linked some stuff
