As an experiment, I let the TV play Smackdown and Collision back to back in the living room while I was helping my parents remodel their home, and I can safely say that between the two programs they stopped to look at Collision for a longer period of time.
These are people so out of touch with wrestling they still believe matches have a move for move script, and while they routinely were puzzled by WWE, Collision spoke for itself and they watched without asking questions.
The only thing that got more attention on Smackdown was dad looking at the girls tits during the Charles match.
Personally, I think this says a lot about the quality of AEW's saturday night show and it's potential, and am curious to know what people outside of the bubble have said about the shows from your experience.
