This was not exactly what I expected and, to be honest, it was kind of depressing and weird. I expected it to mostly be about wrestling and fun stories from the road. But he spent the first 10 minutes talking about cancel culture, then told a story about riding his motorcycle through Tennessee and meeting random people. This story went on and on and I think he forgot the ending because he just went “and uh… that was that” and ended it.
Then he talked about marrying Michelle McCool and spent about 20 minutes on how they met and started dating. Long story short - she would ask him for advice on her matches and they started hanging out more.
Some fan yelled out “Hell in the Cell” and Taker said he’s not allowed to talk about anyone who’s not in the WWE, so he won’t mention “the other guy who fell off the cage” and that was it.
He did not talk about his retirement or even any Mania matches besides his 2 with HBK, and most of that was just him saying they were good matches. No insight, no regrets, nothing.
I paid 700 dollars for 2 VIP tickets and figured I could get to talk to him and get a photo. Turns out he wasn’t feeling good so my “VIP photo” was a digital download of the attached photo, which I could just get online from the wwe website. I did not get to see him after the show, either, he went straight home.
He also sat in a chair for the whole show and said his knees were hurting.
