Jim Cornette and JR confuse the fuck out of me because they act like Steve Austin vs Dr Death was some kind of huge match people would pay a ton to see. If that match ever happened and was a draw, it would obviously be because of Austin and the overall popularity of WWF at the time.

The skill gap is definitely that high. Even MMA guys who are used to other styles of punching can't hang with pro boxers at boxing
If it was somebody else he might've lasted longer but against a big fat bastard throwing haymakers you'll get heemed in seconds if you don't know defense

He still might've taken a dive, though. I'm sure Bart knew he was 100% fucked, there was no reason for him to try to win.

See, I don't think the punch being real or not matters or not in terms of taking a dive. If Steve O can get knocked out for a paycheck, so could Bart Gunn. It wasn't a very subtle punch. Bart was basically blind in one eye if he didn't see that haymaker coming. I don't know, he's probably a shitter in the boxing ring and got destroyed, but about 30% of my being believes it to be a work.
