Tell us what 'ace' means to you and who in your opinion it is right now.
I'll note this
- Kenny is the top babyface in the company right now. King of the AEW fan demo who are also NJPW fans. But he lacks marketability and the mainstream promo chops. Does he even draw?
- Mox is the most reliable hand, popular as face or heel. Always a draw, elevates any match or story he's in. Great character, great promo these days. Bleeding is cool to watch.
- Punk might be the biggest draw because he's the most famous, and maybe is even drawing a little extra because of his IRL antics and people wanted to see how his return would play out. Has alienated most of the lockerroom though, has a small pool of talent willing to work with him, hated by most of the fanbase (~60%, while the other 40% adore him). Great promo (lost a step though?)
- Max is the only one of this group who is a new talent, not a recycled star from WWE/NJPW. Young. Fantastic marketable promo, great character. Like Mox is very adaptable to the situation, he's heel but can have babyface weeks on demand, credibly. He's also the World Champ right now in the middle of a respectable run (except the 4 pillars shit, but that wasn't his fault, he did his best to make it work, was the only entertaining part of it, the others were super cringe and dry)
