Non console war discussion:
How bad is it looking for this game? I planned to buy it when it went on sale because 70 dollars for this was way too much but now I'm worried that the support is so low that they won't even bother with multiple updates and DLC.

it already surpassed sales expectations, but if they want to make true profits on it they need to fix the broken parts and add wrestlers and new match types. only zelda and final fantasy outsold it here in the uk.

It came and went like a wet fart. They need to drastically drop the price, put it on gamepass/ps plus and start releasing dlc. The roster is terrible. The game is bare bones. I can barely find a match online.

It’s a massive flop but The fact that it’s ultimately a vanity project bodes well for it getting at least some continued support, especially if they really think Stadium Stampede will be a game changer. Might even get a sale when that drops to try to drive the user base. If you’re hoping to get it to play online, it’s already been meta’d and broken to the point where every online match is the same cheap shit so it’s probably not worth it for that.

Imagine AKI's very first wrestling game on the PS1, then remove a few things. No consolewarring. That's the most succinct I can describe the game. Best thing about the game is the sound. Best mat sound, best crowd. Best foundation, but again. AKI on the PS1-level bare bones.

If you wait a few more weeks it'll be drastically cheaper and probably on game pass for free before long, don't pay full price for any reason. Support isn't looking good right now but they'll shit out Stadium Stampede and a bit more paltry DLC soon before they drop it entirely. Get it on PC too as the modding scene is shaping up decently if nothing else.

It's in "bad but not critical" territory in the modern industry. They have an obvious window and easy to draw roadmap to "saving" the game.

>clean up the online searching and matchmaking
>Fix a lot of the worst bugs
>Add a bunch of polish
>Put it all in a big update that coincides with Stadium Stampede's launch
>Make a standalone Stadium Stampede client that can only play that game mode and make it free2play with lootboxes
>People that buy Fight Forever get exclusive stuff and a stack of whatever the ingame currency is for the SS microtransactions, with extra for people that bought it before SS launch.

Gameplay is fundamentally broken to the point everyone spams infinites and unblockables then go for a submission. If you hit them then they run outside and taunt to regain their momentum. If you pin or put them in a submission they disconnect. If people can even find a Stadium Stampede match to join then it will be people running away to taunt and then trying to spam you and put you in a submission. It's too broken to play like actual wrestling and have fun or be creative
