The unions are refusing to deal with the fact that the business has just changed. Movies don’t make money like they used to, and demanding more money for the same amount of work while theaters are closing isn’t going to work. “Paid fairly” is a term that means literally nothing. If you agree to do a project for a certain amount of money, then that’s fair.

Most great movies back in the day were made on shoestring budgets which caused directors to come up with innovative ideas of creating and showing things. Now it's just "oh we've got a $100m CGI budget, just throw a greenscreen in"
