Basically all great pieces of media understand the importance of getting key plot points across very clearly and not relying on heavy inference on behalf of the viewer/player, because they want to make something that's both high quality and accessible in important ways.
That said AEW's storytelling isn't difficult to grasp and you don't really need to infer shit. He's just a shoot midwit who thinks community theatre is high art.
