Shida was (is) an anomaly as she has the highest-viewed female match in the company's history against Conti (over a million). Hayter is another one that draws solid numbers. The person who has caused the ratings to tank when she was in the main events has been, well, Baker. She had the main event against Rosa in the street fight it didn't do well. She had the main event against Ruby at Arthur Ashe Stadium, killed the ratings, and denied AEW its million. The over-focus on Baker and the WWE women has done Baker and the division no favours. I don't dislike Britt, I think she's a decent talker, but I don't ever feel any drama in her matches. Hayter, Shida, and Storm go hard in their matches with good impact, which draws you in. Again, it's early days yet, but Shida as the champion might allow for a reset on the division, and with talent like Storm, Soho, Statlander, Rosa, Deebs (when she gets back), Riho (if she comes back), Atena, and the other Ace of the division, Hayter, I think the potential to turn the womemes division into the Oomen's division is very real. Jay, Tay, Ford, and Bunny have all improved as well so they'll be a great help. I hope that after Baker has healed and taken some time to get her mind in the game, she can come back and provide her strength to the division as well. Also, Brandi isn't there and can't fuck things up, so that is another point in its favour.
