ive thought that for a while. remember in like 2015 when he was feuding with cena or undertaker. wasnt watching at the time but id always see people claiming he was the best part of the show and saving the feud. then when i went to watch his promo i was confused as fuck what people were talking about when he was just rambling for 20 minutes about nothing

I have grown to hate Paul Heyman because he's the writer of Coconut Community Theater. All of this is his fault. I remember the first segment where I was like "fuck this guy" and it was the Trial of Sami Zayn which felt like it happened at least 2 weeks before it should have. It felt so fake because everyone was fine with him on the previous show and after serving up Fat Kev, had already proved his loyalty.

I don't think he's overrated because he's consistently been one of if not the best promo.
But I agree, his act is getting old. Nothing he's done has changed since he returned in 2012.
He can't even do manager spots in matches because he's fat and old. He should stick around do something else.

This. He’s also one of the biggest carnies. He told that writer to pitch the frozen nazi gimmick to Vince and really over sell it. I read something a little while ago about him telling a top guy to complain about something to Vince as well which most definitely would have hurt their career but I can’t remember who it was

he didn't even build ECW, Tod Gordon did. Then Heyman bought the company and slowly tanked it. He literally failed to draw a dime with Steve Austin, both in WCW and ECW. Think about it: he had arguably the biggest draw of all time, twice, and failed both times.

Yeah, it's frustrating how much of Tod's role is lost to time now thanks to Heyman outjewing him. The best of ECW was produced with Heyman and Gordon as a team, once Tod was out of the picture in like early 98 the company started bleeding money and was dead by a couple years. The blackpill of ECW is it didn't die because of money, it died because Heyman's a compulsive liar and he ran off everyone that was foolish enough to trust him.
