between the schooling/certification and traveling and living expenses I actually lost money on that quite a bit in fact. Like nigga I'm not clapping my hands like a kindgerarten teacher to teach 7 years old the alphabet and sing gay songs. I was told I'd be teaching high school aged students with some English background. They told me I was being unprofessional after I showed them the previous correspondence where I was told what I'd be doing by the same people who put me in with annoying kids with 0 english knowledge. I said if I wanted to deal with shady liars I'd have gone to China and that REALLY pissed them off lmao but they're Japs so just huffed and puffed like pussies.
Ended up teaching rich young adult business people mostly while in Vietnam for 2 years and that shit was pretty sweet. Lived like a fucking king on the mediocre wage (would be considered in the US) as well. Considered staying but could never see it being a career. Cool experience overall though.
