WWE fans had to watch Cody work his way up the card and then get shoved back down again, several times over. He eventually left and did his own thing. He then returns as a top babyface and the crowds are eating it up. Its pretty crazy that a white meat babyface is so over these days but its refreshing to see. As for Roman, fans had to see him protected and pushed from the very start. The guy couldn't cut promos, barely could work a match, had negative charisma, fumbled every big promo they gave him yet was still rewarded for it all.
In a nutshell, Cody had to eat shit and work for his spot for over a decade, in and out of the company. Roman was handed it on a silver platter whether he was deserving and ready or not.
