>>11079432But it wasn't. The Austin vs McMahon rivalry and all the twists and turns is still the best there is. Starting with the conspiracy with Dude Love (Unforgiven, Over The Edge), moving into the Kane (King of the Ring), and then Undertaker (Summerslam) feuds which culminated with the masterplan (Breakdown) and Austin losing the belt. Then you have Austin making Vince's life just miserable on the way to Judgement Day, with Vince firing Austin. Shane comes in, and we move into the Deadly Game with one of the best wrestling swerves ever with Mankind and the Rock. Austin returns, and helps Mankind win the belt. Mankind goes on to have a legendary feud with the Rock while Austin and McMahon's feud continues into the Rumble. McMahon puts a bounty on Austin's head. McMahon wins and then wavers his rights, letting Austin go to Wrestlemania. Vince, hating Austin so much, agrees to a cage match as St Valentine's Day's Massacre. Big Show debuts, breaking the cage open and causing Austin to win. Go on to Wrestlemania, Austin wins... but the story is not over yet.
