Look up Brock's opinion on Dusty Rhodes combined with the fact that Cody isn't a WWE mark and got over outside WWE, Wrestled in Japan (so did Brock), got himself over globally outside WWE (so did Brock) and had Vince personally visit him to get him back (so did Brock) and you'll understand why Brock likes him.

Brock likes people who have a similar view to the business as he does and he likes to put over underdogs. He sold like a fucking champ for Brain Danielson too. Brock is a mark for not being a mark.

He'll pop up in random places every now and then because he feels like it. He was done in 2020, even saying in an ESPN interview that he thought the McIntyre match was his last. His first public appearance after that match was on the Bearded Butchers YouTube channel in 2021. Think about that. Lesnar gave some butchers in Ohio the return rub just because he liked their videos. He's a free man.

Word around the campfire up around there is that some..."thing" is being spotted german suplexing bears in the woods.
