He had a chance as a tag wrestler and a singles wrestler, both times he shit the bed. His promo is weak, and he got out-shone in the ring by Griff Garrison.

Tony khan failed him at every opportunity. I think if they got to show him off with brock anderson he might have been able to get over but then they cancelled the youtube shows and had no room for him on tv. I guess that’s just how it goes. In interviews he doesn’t seem very passionate about wrestling and he only started wrestling because stone cold gave him his dads old weight belt. He probably didn’t fight to be on the show too much and let himself get forgotten

That's because he practically didn't when he got into the WWE.
Sr was handling an injury when he came in, so he couldn't wrestle.
Then the injury didn't heal properly so they did a pillmanizing angle which involved the gun when he came back, but even after that surgery he simply couldn't go the way he wanted to and self-medicated painkillers to cope with the pain.
That led to 2 or 3 matches and the story with Goldust where he had to wear a dress if he lost.
Then another 3 matches leading to the PPV, where he must've been so worried about his performance being the shits that he medicated too much far enough in advance that he died in his sleep.
