They don't have good English commentators and the only one they had for most of their shows is heading to AEW full time soon. So unless you are okay listening to Japanese commentary, NJPW isn't for you.
Wrestlers also leave this company the moment they hit the peak of their popularity. So any stories NJPW spent years creating for that wrestler is left unfinished and you just feel stupid for investing your time into it as a fan. Their precious Bullet Club lost so many wrestlers that now they have some literal undercard jobber faggot leading the Bullet Club brand.
AEW trannies will get to laugh at you and mock you whenever your favorite wrestler from NJPW jumps ship to their side. Life of a NJPW fan is just full of suffering and regret. If you become an E-god, at least you get to make fun of the secondary promotion. You can also jump to the Stardom ship. Everyone loves Stardom and AEW trannies have not yet invaded the Stardom fandom.
