Everything I typed can be inferred based on the trends going on at the time:
- Babyface always celebrating with the title at the end of Mania. Bret vs Yokozuna was so bland of a main event that they had to do SOMETHING interesting, but also have a babyface walk out with the belt.
- WrestleMania 10 was booked for Madison Square Garden, which meant they were aiming to put on a special show - special in the sense that they were indeed going to be changing the guard and not condemning us to 10 more years of Hulkamania.
- They were not all in on Bret yet. You can't seriously make the argument that he was the "top babyface" in April 1993. You're full of shit if you are. They would spend the next year testing Lex Luger as well, but it's clear that they were still looking for who would pull the sword from the stone. (Of course, that would be Steve Austin in 1997 but no one knows that yet.)
