From an upcoming episode of Anatomy of a Sociopath, Psychiatrist John S Rozel, MD is interviewed
>I’m a wrestling fan and I was a huge fan of Punk, admittedly. Seeing him come back to AEW was very exciting. But I believe he’s suffering from a host of mental health issues right now.
>None of this is an official diagnosis but he appears to be suffering from sociopathic tendencies, feelings of paranoia, and feelings of false prosecution. I know he’s married but they’re never seen together and he never speaks of her, which makes me believe that he’s (intentionally or not) pushed away his wife and now only surrounds himself with people who agree with him, further complicating his health issues.
> I’ve had patients like this before, it’s a struggle to get them to even come in for help. Usually it’s a spouse or child who tells them they need to come in, but Punk has no kids and he may not have a healthy marriage any more. Does he even have friends? Or just coworkers who agree with him to get some clout? Hard to say, which may be a problem.
>If I was Tony Khan I would get him help, but you can never force someone like this into therapy. Jon Moxley got clean because he wanted to. Years ago Shawn Michaels did the same. Punk may not want to change, he may even enjoy living like this. Some people feed on negative energy, they love to feel as if they’re against the rest of the world, even when they’re not.
>We’ve got a man here who’s a millionaire, has his own TV show booked around him, and basically got off scott free from an incident at work that would have doomed us ordinary people to unemployment. Yet by making statements and then acting like he’s being misunderstood, he can continue to play the victim. Couple that with his desire to be the center of attention, and his bizarre social media antics? I believe you have an actual psychopath here, one who needs help immediately before he destroys himself.
