Life was slower. When Nitro was on, you were 100% focused on and enjoyed every little part of it. There was no catching up on it later on youtube or watching a match or promo again whenever you wanted. Everything moment was precious, because it was on live and, as far as you knew, was never gonna be shown ever again.

I remember re-watching old Nitro episodes and I fucking swear, there would be literal episodes of the show where the first hour would just be pre-taped nWo vignettes and promos. Zero matches or live segments. For an entire hour or more! It's hilarious looking back at it now.

you didn't do other things in favor of watching the thing you wanted to watch on TV back then. if you were watching wrestling the video games turned off when raw/nitro started because you wanted to catch it live and if you missed it there's no way to see it unless you caught a replay. VCRs sucked and no one liked watching a tape if they could avoid it. acting like people were as non caring about the shit they watched back then as they are now is the real zoomer tell.
