Who else watched him winning the title on Nitro live when it happened? Literally no one saw it coming since NWO matches always ended in DQ. This was peak Nitro to me and it was all downhill from there.

It went from the greatest Nitro ever, to more Hogan nWo crap. If Starrcade 97 was the beginning of the end of WCW, Road Wild 97 was the prelude. I never really even cared for Luger that much, but even as a teenager that was the first time I was completely done with the nWo angle.
