>>11192229It had a powerful effect on me as a kid, I remember having a dream one time of joining the digidestined but knowing I could never be good enough to be one of them since I wasn't properly chosen and I felt left out like these kids were gods. Digimon has some extreme emotional highs and lows imo. Pumpkinmon and Gatsumon just wanting to be free to have fun and being straight up murdered by Myotismon, Sora's crest activating etc.
