>>11244383I actually took his stars as recommendation when I went to watch Cole vs Gargano NXT. I stopped watching after the opening exchange, which looked like two slow, unathletic guys trying (and utterly failing) to pastiche lucha and strong style but which instead comes across as a parody. It's like a couple of high school buddies who have never trained in wrestling trying to copy a high workrate technical match beat for beat but utterly failing at the delivery. I was already skeptical about Meltzer but watching this, knowing he rated it 5 and a half stars i.e. not just perfect but perfect with some hot sauce on, I knew from that moment his opinions were completely worthless.
