Fans have no problem cheering for a tough guy like Austin, a cool guy like Rock or even an insane comedy freak like Foley, as top guys
But there was something weird and unsettling about having to cheer for a clearly mentally-retarded manchild that had nothing else going for him in terms of personality. You know you're "supposed" to cheer for him, but at best you feel a little weird about it and at worst you outright hate the entire gimmick for being so unusual for a 'top face' gimmick
