Would you toss every Goldberg match in the garbage for an extra 10 years of Bret Hart matches? Let's also say he returns to WWE in the 00s and has matches with Angle, Lesnar, Cena, RVD, Eddie, and a final blowoff with HBK.

Yes, that’s such an easy answer. Goldberg never had a great match. He had a few tolerable ones that people prop up like a retard at the special Olympics. Bret is a legend.

I like Bret but Goldberg had too many based spots/moments during matches
You can't just throw all of that away just because he wasn't great as an actual wrestler
That jackhammer to Big Show was a classic moment, the pop he got for that was insane

Hell no. Bret was 43 when he retired. He had already done the best work he was going to ever do. He wouldn't have been around for the invasion in 2001 (contractual issues like everyone else), and he would have been gone by the time Undertaker's streak became a thing. He could have some great matches with Angle and Lesnar, and some decent matches with Jericho, Eddie and Benoit once they had become mainstream stars. Could have also revived his rivalry with Michaels in 2002-2003. But who knows how it would have been handled and if any of that would have come to pass. I'll take what we can be certain about which is what we got with Golderg.

He can't talk and he cant work. Had no sense of humor and turned down a good storyline be refusing to work with jericho in WCW.

Although he was a shit wrestler in the technical sense, Goldberg had incredible in-ring charisma and could work the crowd
He was really fast, strong and powerful in his prime. His moves looked like they actually hurt (because sometimes they really did, due to his sloppiness). And crowds always pop for high-impact moves like the spear when it's done right, there's a reason why Edge's spear was always mocked as the "running hug" in comparison
Dude was a fucking beast in the ring and actually entertained the crowd with what he could do, even if it would never get him a lot of Meltzer stars

Don’t care, still a yes. I’d take Bret at 50 if it meant he had more matches with Benoit, matches with guys like Angle and Jericho, work with Austin more, it would have been so much more worth anything Goldberg has done, 98 Georgia Dome included.

No. Bret ended his own career by slamming his own head against exposed concrete AFTER the perfectly deflected kick in the goldberg match. Bret worked sloppy toward the end cuz he was bitter his punk bitch politicking had vince force him out of wwf.

Bret never drew dimes. Ever. Goldberg singlehandedly pulled wcw to success in 98, barely his second year in the business. He also made the brock universal reign fun.

Okay he had an impressive finish. But he didnt have anything else. Couldn't work a match. Couldn't work the mic. Couldn't do comedy. Couldn't tell a story. Most over hyped nobody ever.

Dude Bret is at least 44, possibly 45 before he wrestles again in WWE. All the big contract guys were contracted to Ted Turner so he isn't showing up until 2002 or 2003 like the rest of them. By which point he won't have wrestled for 2 years either. His run would be like Edge's run has been. The idea of Bret having a few more years to work with these guys is nice on paper but in reality it would be nothing like you imagine it.
