Any other games for a booking/manager experience? I've played TEW to death since its dropped, and am looking for something new. The GM mode for 2k23 is liquid shit.

Has anyone tried WMMA5 from the TEW team? I might give that one a try.

There is a game on Steam called Pro Wrestling Sim that I've seen people claiming is better than TEW. I haven't personally played it though so I can't really speak to that. Also nice to see another Cornellverse chad like myself.

It has it's own generic rosters but there are real world rosters you can download as well.
I'd also suggest going back and playing EWR, Extreme Warfare Revenge if you haven't already. It's the game that pre-dated TEW. It's different enough from TEW that it should be a different experience, I'm pretty sure people still make mods for it as well. You can find copies of it floating around the internet.

Honestly they're all shit. TEW isn't even deep, the process of booking a show is convoluted but don't mistake that for depth. The game world is rudimentary as fuck and TV/PPV/merch general industry mechanics, anything that might give the game more depth, are basic. Not one of these 'booking sim' games aspires to be anything more than a glorified spreadsheet. I realise that the fanbase for games like this is niche and mostly comprised of people who want to play Tony Khan Simulator and will demand anything that presents any kind of real challenge to be patched out. But the booking sim equivalent of Football Manager is never going to exist until one of these developers starts showing more ambition than 'how can I make it take slightly less time to book Ospreay vs. Omega XVI?'.

agree tbqh. it's way too easy to make money in tew for instance. negotiating with tv networks is also really simplistic and you can just decide to change your tv show length whenever you want. it would be cool if as the owner you had to deal with sponsors, tv networks demanding stuff etc.

I played EWR for longer periods of time than I ever did TEW. I always feel like no one could ever get the ratings right when they made mods for TEW. I'd go back to that. It is the right amount of depth to fool around with.

thats not getting into running a huge empire with a broadcaster and putting all the companies you buy on it for bonus pay.

download the demo version of TEW 2020 from greydogsoftware .com, it lets you play through three months of a save and you can even put real world mods on the demo. either that or get a cracked version of TEW 2020 if you can

I have a 2008 save cept I hired a bunch of former wrestlers from the mid/late 80s in my save and im pushing some of them. Wwe is not the powerhouse wcw is in my save... i'm cult and guys like Arn Anderson/Tully Blanchard/Greg Valentine are in the main event scene. I managed to somehow secure Steve Austin but he is fairly broken down so doesnt put out the numbers he was a few years prior in wwe. Still putting out low 80s consistantly for me.

If I remember right, that guy ended up having women beat up Punk in shoot fights all the time then introduced AJ who would then beat the women that beat Punk, finally proving her superiority as the better MMA fighter in the Brooks family, leading to dommy mommy gimmick where she'd slap "Phil" around and generally humiliate him.

It’s definitely better from my memory, although I haven’t played 2016 since 2020 dropped if that’s worth anything to you. I will say I think 2016 had a better looking UI and I do miss Letter Grades…

i switched off the free picture requirement at some point, also i used the populate fighters option a lot whenever divisions would get too thin. it doesn't really bother me.

Anon remove all defaults and only check the naked matches. make sure you have enough females to run the shows and than auto book. If its done right the matches will be naked matches and the females wont be all I dont wanna do that unless you go in and try to save and edit the matches. ive run fully nude federations this way. tho yeah more risque options would be fun
