>>11261480The tec wasn't there for a Sonic game. Crash Bandicoot is too slow to be a good comparison, and look at things like Sonic R or even the Sonic Blast 3D bonus stages. A 2D sonic game could have been amazing on the machine (sort of a Sonic Mania before Sonic Mania), but 3D was the new hotness and everything else was seen as outdated. When you consider that Sonic and his original conception was cutting-edge, it wouldn't have been a good move from a marketing perspective.
