Why do you think /pol/ even exists? If 4chan was this idyllic, left-wing paradise where no one ever brought up politics or said "nigger", why make a containment board for political shitposting?
/n/ was made for that exact purpose, way before you were here. It didn't work, people still brought up politics and were racist on other boards. moot saw it as a focal point for stormweenie types and thought that if he deleted it, they'd go away. It didn't work. People were still shitposting about niggers and jews and politics across the boards, and it was arguably worse than it was before. So he made /new/, hoping this time it would work as a quarantine. It didn't. He did the same thing, he got frustrated that it was just a glorified hangout for the heckin racist stormweenies while the rest of the site was still filled with racism and politics, so he deleted it. And again, it didn't work, and things arguably got worse. Thus, finally, /pol/ was born, and moot was such a worked bitch he decided he'd rather quit the site entirely than try to "fix" what he saw as a problem.
This is why actual oldfags laugh at bitches like you that whine about this shit as if it were some new, solvable problem. Grow some skin and learn to deal with it you sensitive little bitch.
