There’s a match in ecw, when he returned in 2000, Mikey fucks up a dive and ends up on the rail and rolling into the crowd. When they get back in the ring, the other guy hits his finish and they end the match.
This little display of improv tells me Mikey was better than any modern wrestler there is now.
That said all of his trainees were pure spot monkeys which led to modern wrestling so his hands aren’t clean.

I think you know that OP, nobody on this board is even old enough to remember when he was active. But yeah Mikey was good, his tag team with Tajiri and the Sinister Minister was gigadimes. His singles stuff with Austin, Foley and Sandman was fun too, he never got in too much offense or anything and was booked as a great underdog who got lucky shots.
