I've been under the impression for a few years now that Roman is a "fuck you get mine" type of dude.
I don't think he has a real passion for the business and I don't believe he has a lot of care for the business. I definitely don't think he's worried about giving back to the business.
This might be unpopular but I think when it's all said and done Roman will have been given everything and given nothing back.
Roman is closer to Hogan than John Cena was.

Sting I'll give you but literally no other person there would have gotten anything from beating him, and Orton even got a visible pin in Hogan's last match. Everything after 2006 is explicitly just to get money for his divorce and son's legal troubles so none of that has any value
