Thanksgiving and Halloween are a double jannetty. Both used to mean something but they got their heat stolen by Ultra-Michaels Christmas so now they exist as speedbumps on the way to Christmas. Halloween is the bigger jannetty though because kids don't really trick or treat anymore because their parents are gay and overprotective and also all the millennial and gen X home owners don't want to be bothered "having their night interrupted by stupid kids" or whatever so now all the kids are forced to do gay shit like trunk or treat.

Truth is that there are only three real, genuine holidays. Christmas, New Year's, and Fourth of July. Everything else is meaningless.
