Austin wasn't really around that long once he got big and while he was dimes, he was more important specifically to the WWE and saving it in the ratings war, than he was for wrestling as a whole. Triple H is the guy we are constantly told is the GOAT even though most of his achievements really were "just because" and not in line with his actual popularity or status. It will always have an asterisk that he married into the family.
