I wish they would stop these cringey story modes and give us something more like the old No Mercy story mode

Fight Forever unironically had the right idea, just not enough content to fill it out so it gets repetitive.
I greatly prefer that style to the 2K games style showcase shit (particularly awful in Madden and NBA2K)

Well, I meant the "No Mercy" style of season modes. The season mode in Here Comes the Pain is probably the best one overall in that style. No Mercy was just the first.
